Okay, this post is going to be more of a rant on k-pop fans than it really is on Kemy but whatever. I’ll start off to say that what Kemy did was pretty bold and also rude. I think Park Bom’s style coordinator did a good job summing it up when she said, “They say you can diss somebody if you’ve reached the level to meet them face-to-face and eat together.” Obviously, Kemy is nowhere close to that level yet. She barely debuted, but she had dissed one of the biggest celebrities in K-pop that is twice her age. That was not a smart choice.
However, the fans are even worse. They’re hiding behind a computer screen and calling the girl the most horrible names I have ever heard. Honestly, they are incredibly harsh and horrible. They’re worse than Kemy right now. They’re calling her a bitch or a whore and I’ve even read some comments telling her to go die or got to hell. That is not okay. You should never tell ANYONE to go die. They’re ripping up every single thing about her and her rap. Park Bom does not need you to be gaining up on this girl for her sake. She’s a grown 30 year-old woman who has the authority and power to take care of herself. Honestly, cool down and back off of a girl you don’t even know.
“Wow this group seems so talented!” and “The orange haired girl is someone to look out for,” turned into “Bitch please, your rapping sucks and your voice is horrible,” and “Look at this ugly hoe, who does she think she is?” Although their debut song was pretty upsetting, it was hard to miss their talent. I give her props to even showing us that she can write her own rap unlike the large amount of “rappers” in the K-pop industry nowadays.
To sum this all up, I’m not defending her actions whatsoever. What she did was pretty bad in regards to dissing someone older and with more experience in what she’s trying to pursue. Whether or not it was a publicity thing, she garnered quite a bit of attention. I just find that it’s unreasonable to be so biased in judging her talent based on her actions. I am quite fond of this response rap by a fan. There is a way to condemn that isn’t ripping apart someone.
ALSO!! THIS RAP HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EXO WHATSOEVER. CAN WE JUST UNDERSTAND THAT RIGHT NOW? JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE POSSIBLY MENTIONED THEM IN A DISS DOESN’T MEAN THEY’RE BEING DISSED. OMG LIKE SERIOUSLY.
“OMG Exo was totally being dissed too!”
“She said X O and then Someone call the doctor!”
That didn’t answer anything. How was that a diss? If anything, I’ll give her props for adding in something like that. It was pretty clever.
X? O? The answer is X, toxic.
Someone call the doctor, someone stop her.
