Day6 has captured my heart with all of their releases and I can’t seem to stop replaying their new heartfelt breakup song “You Were Beautiful” because it is absolutely beautiful. The mesmerizing lyrics combined with the reel of romantic moments between the couple (although the first half with the main actress alone wasn’t as impressive). Nevertheless, their songs never fail to hit me right in the feels ever since “Congratulations.” Planning to release 2 songs every month this year, Day6 is most definitely a band to look out for because they are amazing! Make sure you read the lyrics too because I can’t even explain how great they are not to mention their heavenly vocals from each member (except Dowoon lol).
Since I am incredibly indecisive, I’m not going to rank the videos in any order. This is just a compilation of a few of the many choreography that I’ve grown fond of in the realm of K-pop. This is a personal favorite list and you’re most likely not going to see that many iconic dances such as Sorry Sorry or Gee, but hey you might discover more! This post will focus on the choreography I find really impressive in skill and technicality.
I wanted to make this a Music Monday but I should at least keep that on Mondays (even though I don’t end up posting anything anyway). For some strange reason I ended up getting obsessed with this weird song, “Stress, Come On!” It is the debut song for the new boy band Big Byung, which is a group that we should most definitely look out for! The members of Big Byung include Yook Duk, Wang Kong, Hyuk-ddi, and Deol Baegi (still can’t decide on a bias). The song has such meaningful lyrics that I was able to relate to and some of the members surprised me with their rapping skills! Duble Brave Tiger really outdid themselves as up and coming producers! I hope to see more of them! And if you haven’t watched the reality show about the struggles of debuting, you totally need to check it out! “Hitmaker” is an awesome show that started with their formation up until their debut! You’ll learn to appreciate them more!
Okay I actually don’t even like that much of electronic music but life happens and I found a new interest. SO what is this K-electronica? I don’t even know. I didn’t even know it was a word. This K-electronica is a bit different in a sense that it’s not just random computer noises. Maybe it’s the vocals but sometimes they can be somewhat relaxing.
Humming Urban Stereo – Bullshit ft. Narsha (pretty much what I’m obsessed with right now)
So after watching a video of Jungkook, Jimin, and J-Hope dancing to girl group songs EXTREMELY well and ON POINT (I was incredibly surprised at how good they were), I discovered the joy of watching Weekly Idol’s segments of “Random Play.” In this segment, the guest of the day has to perform to choreography of their song at random cuts. I found it so hilarious when the group had to first find out what song it is and what part it’s at, then determine the correct moves, and lastly make sure they’re in the right position. Many of them actually were able to accomplish it well, proving how well they had to know the choreography and how much they practiced. Others were well… they received the “It’s your song! Why can’t you dance?!” Award.
Oh hello. Since I started this K-pop blog due to my obsession with Korean entertainment, I thought I would have a lot of posts. However, as you can see from previous posts, I do not. It is mainly due to the fact that I have an inability to keep a topic. Therefore, I will just start a segment called Current Obsessions which will feature me going on about what I am currently into hohohohohoho. Okay let’s begin.
